About Me

Hello, I’m Nazma Fasmil, the heart, soul, and hands behind Macho Recipes.

Before I tell you about the recipes, the food, the kitchen, and everything you see on this Blog, I want to tell you something much more personal.

Cooking has never been just a daily task for me, it is my most authentic language of love. Balancing everyday chaos of life as a wife and a mother to two incredible children Sakina & Zidan.

The kitchen has always been my grounding sanctuary. It is the space where I can seamlessly blend spices, experiment with bold culinary concepts and pour my energy into creating dishes that bring my family together around the table.

What started as a quiet, personal passion within the four walls slowly blossomed into a fiery dream that I couldn’t keep to myself. I wanted to inspire others to step up to the stove and find that exact same joy and confidence.

Macho Recipes is not just a Blog to me. It is a part of my life.

It is built from years of memories, experiments, failures and a dream that slowly grew into something I never imagined it could become. When you see a finished recipe here, you may see a beautiful dish, a carefully written recipe, or a video that looks simple and effortless. But behind that dish is a story.

Where It All Started.

I have always believed that food is much more than something we eat. It brings back memories. It reminds us of our homes, our parents, our grandparents, childhood, family gatherings, and even moments that we had forgotten.

For me, food has always carried emotion And that is one of the biggest reasons I fell in love with cooking.

It became more than preparing something to eat. It became a way of expressing myself. A way of creating, learning and sharing. And eventually, it became a way of connecting with thousands of people around the world.

I Was Never Afraid of Starting Small

One thing life has taught me is that you don’t need to start with everything figured out. Sometimes you just need to start what you have. You learn along the way. You make mistakes, You improve, You fail. You try again. Then one day, you look back and realize how far you have come. That is exactly how my journey with Macho Recipes happened. It did not begin with a perfect studio or expensive equipment. It did not begin with a huge team or a professional kitchen. It started with an idea.

A simple idea.

What if I could teach someone how to make a recipe they had always wanted to try? What if one of my recipes could help a busy mother feed her family, help someone living far away from home recreate a dish they miss or simply make someone’s day a little happier?

That thought stayed with me. And slowly, Macho Recipes began to grow.

From Cooking to Creating

At first, I was simply focused on the food. But then I discovered something else. I loved creating content.

I loved taking an idea and turning it into something people could see, understand, and recreate in their own kitchens. I became fascinated by the entire process.

Choosing ingredients, Testing & Trying different techniques, presenting and Writing the recipes. And most importantly, figuring out how to make every recipe better. I realized that cooking and content creation gave me the perfect combination of things I love.

Food, creativity, photography, videography, storytelling, and teaching.

And that became my world.

The Kitchen Became My Studio

Over time, my kitchen became much more than a kitchen. It became my studio. It became the place where ideas turned into recipes. It became the place where I spent countless hours experimenting.

Sometimes everything worked perfectly. And sometimes absolutely nothing went according to plan. There were recipes that looked perfect in my head but failed completely when I made them. And there were days when I filmed something for hours, only to realize that I needed to start all over again. But those moments taught me something very important.

Failure is part of the journey.

Every mistake teaches you something. Every failed batch tells you what not to do. Every imperfect result helps you understand the ingredients a little better. And every time you try again, you become better than you were yesterday.

That mindset has followed me throughout my entire journey.

I Believe in Real Recipes

One of the most important things I want Macho Recipes to stand for is trust.

I don’t want this Blog to be a place where you simply find a recipe with a beautiful Photos and a long list of ingredients. I want it to be a place where you can actually learn.

cherry cake, cake, sour cherry cake, food, meal, snack, cherries, baked, recipe, top view, flat lay, cake, cake, cake, cake, cake, recipe, recipe

When I share a recipe, I want you to understand why something is done. Why a particular ingredient is used. Why a dough needs to rest. Why a cake should not be overmixed. Why the texture changes. Why one technique produces a better result than another. Because when you understand the reason behind a recipe, you are no longer just following instructions.

You are learning how to cook. And that is much more valuable.

My Love for Baking

Baking holds a very special place in my heart. There is something magical about turning simple ingredients like flour, sugar, eggs, butter into something completely different.

Sliced chocolate loaf cake with nuts on a wire rack, offering a delectable dessert option.

A cake rising in the oven, Cookies spreading on a tray, Chocolate melting, Caramel bubbling. That transformation never gets boring to me. Baking also teaches patience that You cannot always rush it. You have to measure accurately. You have to understand temperature and You have to respect the process. Sometimes even a few extra minutes or a small change in ingredients can completely change the final results. That attention to detail is something I love about baking. And that’s why you will find plenty of cakes, brownies, puddings, breads, pastries, cookies, and other baked creations here at Macho Recipes.

The Recipes You Find Here

I don’t want Macho Recipes to be about one type of food. I want it to feel like a huge kitchen where everyone can find something they love.

You will find Asian, Middle Eastern dishes, Western favourites, desserts, baking recipes, drinks, snacks, appetizers, festive foods, street food, restaurant-style recipes, and much more.

Some recipes will be comforting and familiar, Some will be exciting and new. Some will be simple enough for a beginner, Others may challenge you and help you develop your skills. But every recipe has the same purpose, to help you create something delicious.

The Journey Behind the Camera

People often see the final video. They see the finished dish, They see the beautiful shots, But content creation has another side that most people never see.

There are hours of preparation before the camera even starts recording, Ingredients need to be measured, The kitchen needs to be prepared, The lighting needs to be adjusted, The camera needs to be positioned, The food needs to be styled And then comes filming.

Sometimes you cook once, Sometimes you cook multiple times.

Then comes editing, Watching the footage, Cutting clips, Choosing the right moments, Matching sounds, Adjusting colours, Writing captions, Creating thumbnails, Writing descriptions, Working on SEO, Uploading, Publishing, And then doing it all over again.

It is a lot of work, But I genuinely love it. Because every time I finish a video and press publish, I know that somewhere in the world, someone might watch it and say “I’m going to try this.”

That feeling makes all the work worth it.

More Than Numbers

As a content creator, of course I care about views, followers, reach, and growth. Who wouldn’t?

But over the years, I have realized that numbers are not the only measure of success. Sometimes one message from someone saying,“I made this recipe for my family and everyone loved it.”means more to me than thousands of views.

Sometimes someone tells me that they had never cooked before and one of my recipes gave them the confidence to try.

Those moments remind me why I started. Because at the end of the day, food is about people.

I Am Still Learning

One thing I never want to lose is the willingness to learn. I don’t consider myself someone who knows everything. There is always another technique to discover, A cuisine to explore, An ingredient to understand, A recipe to improve and Another mistake to learn from.

The food world is enormous And that is what makes it exciting. Every day there is something new to discover. A different way to make a familiar recipe. A traditional technique from another country. A forgotten ingredient, A new baking method, A different way of presenting food. There is always more to learn. And I am still on that journey.

Behind Macho Recipes Is a Real Person

I think sometimes people forget that there is always a human being behind a page, a website, or a video. Behind Macho Recipes is me, A person who loves food, A person who enjoys creating, A person who makes mistakes, A person who gets excited when a recipe works, A person who sometimes gets frustrated when things go wrong, A person who keeps learning, A person who keeps trying, And a person who believes that a simple dream can become something much bigger with enough patience and determination.

I am not here because everything was easy, I am here because I kept going.

There Were Difficult Days Too

Every journey has difficult chapters, Mine is no different, There have been moments of doubt. Moments when I wondered whether I was doing enough, Moments when growth felt slow, Moments when things didn’t work the way I wanted, Moments when I compared myself to other creators and felt like I was falling behind, But I learned something important.

You cannot compare your beginning to someone else’s middle.

The only person I really need to compete with is the person I was yesterday. So I keep learning, I keep creating, I keep improving, And I keep moving forward.

A Dream That Keeps Getting Bigger

When I started creating recipes, I never imagined that Macho Recipes would become what it is today And honestly, I still feel like I am only at the beginning. There are so many things I want to build, So many recipes I want to share.

My dream is not simply to create another recipe website, I want Macho Recipes to become a place people trust, A place where experienced cooks can discover something new, and can find the recipe they have been searching for

To Everyone Who Has Supported Me

I want to take a moment to say thank you To every person who watched one of my videos and liked, shared, commented, subscribed, visited my website, saved a recipe, or recommended Macho Recipes to someone else.

Thank you.

Close-up of hands holding a thank you note in an envelope on a table.

You may think that clicking a button is something small. But when you are building something from the ground up, those small actions mean a lot. Every view tells me someone is interested, Every comment reminds me that there is a real person on the other side of the screen.

Every recipe someone makes reminds me that what I am doing has a purpose.

So truly…

Thank you for being part of this journey.

My Philosophy in the Kitchen

My cooking philosophy is actually quite simple. Use good ingredients, Don’t be afraid to experiment And never be afraid to make mistakes.

You do not have to be a professional chef to make amazing food, You don’t need the most expensive equipment, You don’t need years of experience, You need curiosity patience. And sometimes, you simply need the courage to try.

To the Beginner Reading This

Maybe you are someone who hardly ever cooks, Maybe you think baking is too difficult, Maybe you have tried making cakes and failed, Maybe you are afraid of cooking because you think you will make a mistake.

I want you to remember this. Everyone who is good at something was once a beginner. Every experienced cook once burned something, Every chef has made mistakes, Every creator has made terrible videos before making great ones.

Don’t be embarrassed by your first attempt, Make it, Learn from it, Try again. The next one will be better, And then the next one will be even better. That is how mastery is created. Not overnight, But one attempt at a time.

My Promise to You

As Macho Recipes continues to grow, I want to keep one promise. I will always try to give you recipes that are useful, practical, delicious, and worth making. I will continue sharing what I learn with you Because I don’t want this to be just a website you visit once.

I want it to become part of your kitchen, Part of your cooking journey, Part of your celebrations And maybe, one day, part of your family’s memories.

This Is Only the Beginning

When I look at how far Macho Recipes has come, I feel grateful. But I don’t want to spend too much time looking back, I want to look forward.

There are still so many recipes waiting to be made, So many flavours waiting to be discovered, So many stories waiting to be told, So many kitchens waiting to be inspired. And I want you to be there with me Because this is not just my journey anymore. It has become our journey.

You cook, You share, You comment, You give me ideas, You tell me what you want to see next, And together, we keep building something that started from a simple love for food.

Thank You for Being Here

Because sometimes the best things in life begin with something as simple as flour, sugar, spices, a little patience, and the courage to try. This is my story, This is my kitchen, This is my passion. And this is Macho Recipes.

Thank you for being part of my journey.
